Grizzly Man

People. Tim Treadwell is on my mind. On New Year's Eve, we watched a documentary about his life called Grizzly Man, and I STILL think about it all the time. It is an absolutely fascinating story about living in the wild of Katmai National Park in Alaska, alongside foxes and grizzly bears.

If you're interested, here's a link to some information about his life.

Tim was eventually eaten by a grizzly bear, which makes his life more compelling to study in some ways. It certainly makes the video footage of his interactions with bears more ominous. He had a completely free spirit and was delightfully eccentric. Next time you are trying to figure out what to put on your Netflix queue, let me suggest this.
