Mocha's Letter Home from Camp

Dear Mom and Dad,

I had a really good time spending my Thanksgiving vacation at Rosey's house. They do things a little bit differently than we do, but I tried to play along, because I didn't want to hurt their feelings.

In the morning, after Rosey eats breakfast and goes outside to do her business, she gets in bed with Mike and Hillary to snuggle. Can you BELIEVE that?! Well, like I said, I thought it was pretty weird, but I did my best to fit in. Here I am pretending to enjoy myself...

On Thursday morning, everybody got up pretty early. They were running around the house getting ready for the day, so I helped. I oversaw it all and made sure everything was done correctly. Here I am on my perch, directing the morning events.

Don't worry, I was still guarding the house too. I REALLY liked to watch people pass by. Every once in a while, when Rosey said it was time, we would growl in sync. Everyone knew not to mess with us so they just kept on going down the street... A wise decision because we're tough.
Another big difference is that Rosey is (and don't repeat this) kind of lazy. She likes to just sit around and it is so boooooring.
I tried to encourage her to play with me, and sometimes it worked! We ran around the backyard a lot...
And sniffed. Boy, did we do some sniffing...

Oh, and another thing about Rosey is that she is an attention hog. (You probably shouldn't tell her I said that either).

But I know how to stand up for myself! When Rosey was getting too much attention, I politely suggested that I might enjoy some as well. Most of the time, my wishes were respected.

I would say that my favorite part of my vacation was the fireplace. It was really cozy to snuggle up in front of a fire. I would really appreciate it if you would consider relocating my bed at home, please.

Well, all in all, it was a pretty good trip, but I really missed the two of you a whole lot!! Even though I felt very welcome at Rosey's house, there is just no place like home.

Love,

Mokie
