Weekend Getaway

This past weekend, Mike and I traveled to the mountains for Gus and Melinda's wedding. On Friday, we spent the afternoon walking around downtown Asheville, checked into our hotel and went out for a great dinner. We had a wonderful room with a fireplace, which was really cozy during the chilly weekend.

The wedding took place on the property where everyone was staying, so the next morning at breakfast, I was introduced to all of Mike's fraternity brothers from college and their wives and girlfriends. They are all lots of fun and it was hilarious to see Mike in action with all of his old buddies.

The wedding was gorgeous and took place on Saturday afternoon. It was about 65 degrees and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The ceremony overlooked a beautiful lake and the reception was nearby in one of the Great Halls at the resort.
