Happy Halloween!

This year we celebrated Halloween at home. We were prepared for a busy night because last year was insane, but this year was a little more laid back, with somewhere around 100 or 150 trick-or-treaters. Instead of answering the door all night, we set up chairs in the driveway and enjoyed a warm fall evening with my sister, Mike's grammy and his parents. Riley and Henry were busy doing their own trick-or-treating (with Joe) but we got lots of reports about what was going on out in the rest of the hood...

Everyone came over earlier in the afternoon so that we could have dinner together and get ready for the evening. Deb gave Riley some spooky witch make-up...

Missy, are you proud?

Deb was our adult representative for Halloween spirit. Isn't she a great witch?! It scared Rosey to death when she first got to our house :)

I have to say that even though there were fewer kids in the neighborhood this year, we had some of the funniest kids ever come to our house last night. Mike handed one kid a big handful of candy because it was getting late and we didn't want a bunch of leftovers sitting around. The kid looked up and said, "that dude is awesome," then looked back at Mike and said, "I bet you like to hear that, don't you?" Hilarious. We are still laughing about it.

It was a great Halloween here. I hope everyone enjoyed their night as much as we did.
