Maternity clothes? Yep. Definitely need the pants but my shirts are still fitting for the most part. A little tight in the bust area but they still work. I really just prefer maternity clothes at this point though. They are way more comfortable and it isn't on my agenda to wear tight clothes.
Best moment this week: Telling my grandparents this past weekend. Needless to say, they are very excited. :)
Movement: Not yet. Occasionally when I am laying very still, I feel a little fluttery feeling in my lower abdomen but I am not really sure it's actually movement. I think it's probably too early to be feeling anything so who knows...
Gender: No idea. We go back and forth with guessing. Before we were pregnant, I always envisioned us having a girl first, but now I have no clue. We'd be thrilled with either!
Labor Signs: Thankfully, none.
Stretch Marks? No but I'm already fearing for my breasts. They are so much bigger...already. God, help me.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Cravings/Aversions: This week I have really been wanting fruit. Apples and watermelon mostly. The thought of red meat makes me gag. That's a huge change because all I wanted during the first trimester was MEAT. I dreamt about bacon. I wanted steak for dinner...every night. Now, I can't stand it. I also really craved greasy food for the first 10 or so weeks, especially egg and cheese biscuits, because it soothed my nausea. Thankfully, those cravings have passed and I have never enjoyed fruit and veggies like I have been during the past couple of weeks. It's wonderful to crave something healthy.
I read a quote about cravings this week that said, "it's like there is someone inside of you ordering from their own menu." That is the best way I have ever heard it explained...it's so bizarre to randomly want something you never usually eat.
What I miss: Caffeine and cooking. Preparing food makes me feel sick these days. I have no idea why but it's really inconvenient.
What I am looking forward to: My appointment next week. I can't wait to hear the little heartbeat and schedule our ultrasound!
Weekly Wisdom: Hmm... having a bridesmaids dress expanded is a lot harder than having one taken in. :) I'm in my brother's wedding in early December and have had the dress since June. Let's just say I was a little lighter when the dress was ordered.
Milestones: Getting our crib! I ordered it thinking it would take 4 to 6 weeks to arrive and that we would put it together after the holidays, but it came within a week and we put it together last night. It's so fun/crazy to have a crib in the house. I can't wait until it's occupied.
