Sleep: It's been pretty good. My belly is big enough now that I don't accidentally roll over on it anymore and that has been a good change.
Best moment this week: On December 23rd, Mike felt her kick for the first time and that was awesome. Since then he has felt her a few more times as her movements get stronger and more frequent.
Movement: She has busy days and lazy days but I am feeling her a lot now. Last night I couldn't fall asleep because she was squirming around so much. At our ultrasound, she was head up, and I think that she still probably is because sometimes it feels like she is doing jumping jacks on my pelvic floor.
Gender: Team Pink
Labor Signs: Thankfully, none.
Stretch Marks? Not yet.
Belly Button in or out? In.
Cravings/Aversions: Red meat and I still have a complicated relationship but that's the only thing I'm still having issues with. I'm not really craving anything in particular, just craving a lot MORE than usual. Almonds and chocolate milk always sound yummy!
What I am looking forward to: I'm starting to get excited about being able to feel her little body in my belly as she gets bigger and her parts become more distinct from the outside. I'm also looking forward to making some progress on her nursery. Right now it looks like a bomb went off in it as we sort through things that people have passed down to us, the few things we have bought, and the rest of the junk that used to belong in that room. Yesterday we got rid of the sofa that was in there and that helped a lot! Next project: clean out the closet.
What I miss: Not having to pee 25 times a day!
Weekly Wisdom: A good friend of mine called me last week and told me to enjoy these weeks as much as possible because once you get big, it gets a lot more uncomfortable. I'm trying to employ that advice and be grateful for a lack of morning sickness and general comfort during the second trimester.
Milestones: Being more than HALFWAY THERE! WooHoo!
