We started the trip on Thursday afternoon and arrived at our hotel, tired and hungry, around 8:30 that evening, . We threw our stuff in the room and headed downtown to Tupelo Honey Cafe for a late dinner. This was one of my favorite little places when I lived in Asheville becauses it totally embraces the feel of the city and serves the best biscuits I've ever had.

On Friday morning we woke up, had breakfast in bed and made our way over to the Biltmore Estate.

Even though it was a windy, overcast day, Biltmore was as beautiful as ever and we had a ton of fun walking around. We even took a rooftop tour and got a better look at some of the architecture.

Friday night we went downtown, ate at Doc Chey's Noodle House and then went to the Orange Peel to see Dark Star Orchestra perform. They play entire Grateful Dead shows and are really, really good. We haven't been to a show in quite a while so it felt awesome to get back to our people and groove to some live music :)

Hill,
Lance and I need a place to eat on Friday night of our trip. Should we go to Tupelo Honey Cafe? Sounds yummy.
