Asheville Part Two

On Saturday we woke up and headed over to Chimney Rock Park. It took about 45 minutes to get there but was well worth the trouble! The actual "Chimney" is really crowded but was fun climb and had a great view...

The real fun, however, was on the trails above the Chimney. We hiked the Skyline Trail for many miles and, although these pictures don't show it, it was really tough in some places particularly where it was icy.

My favorite part was Devils Head Point. Cool, huh?

After all this, we thawed out in the hot tub at our hotel until it was time to go downtown.

Saturday night brought the trip to a close with an incredible dinner at Zambra with one of my favorite women in the world, Alissa, and then dessert at Old Europe, where we all met up with Steph.
The clean mountain air and the good people of Asheville have recharged my batteries. What a great trip.
