23 Weeks

Maternity clothes? I think that I will soon be moving up to full panel maternity pants. Until now, I have just been using the kind with an elastic waist but I'm starting to have trouble getting them to stay in the right place. At least I can use them again right after Lydia arrives, before I can squeeze back into my pre-preggo clothes.

Sleep: Ugh. This week, I have tossed and turned all night. I just can't seem to get into a position that is comfortable for the belly, neck, arms, legs, br.easts, etc... I was told that this time was coming, and I think it has arrived... only to get worse, I'm sure. At least that means we are getting closer to our due date.

Best moment this week: We had a lot of cozy family time over this three day weekend and that's been great.

Movement: Aside from one quiet day that started to really freak me out, she has been her usual, active self. Two of my friends even got to feel some kicks this week, which I thought was so fun!

Gender: Girl

Labor Signs: Thankfully, none.

Stretch Marks? Not yet.

Belly Button in or out? In. But, I should note that the bottom hole of the scar from my belly button ring used to be deep and unseen. Now I can see it when I look in the mirror so I guess that means that it's on its way out. Hahaha. It will crack me up if it pops out!

Cravings/Aversions: This week I had a major craving for brownies. Also, drumstick ice cream bars. So, basically sweets.

What I am looking forward to: We're going to Ikea this coming weekend to get some things for the nursery. I'm not exactly sure what we'll find, but we are both excited about the trip.

I'm also very excited to start birthing classes next Sunday and for my midwife appt on Wednesday.

What I miss: I miss having a regular schedule. On days that I am productive, I think being home is great but when I'm not feeling good or decide to be lazy for a day, it makes me feel like crap. I'm sure I will have more of a sense of purpose when the baby comes, but some days I feel like I'm floundering a little.

Weekly Wisdom: The more active I am, the better I feel at the end of the day, emotionally and physically.

Milestones: I can't really think of any pregnancy milestones, but I am very happy to report that I have had a surge of energy. I've been taking really long walks and doing a yoga dvd this week and it has been GREAT.
Also, we finally got the nursery completely cleaned out. Now it really feels like my baby's room and I love it! Once we have made some progress with it, I'll post pictures, but it will probably be a while...

Have you started to have baby dreams yet?

Oh Megan, I've been having crazy dreams this entire pregnancy, but they rarely involve a baby, ironically. I haven't had any of her yet...that I remember anyway. I'll keep you posted. :)
